When we were approached by Searock + Stafford, an architectural firm specializing in elegant, modern architectural projects, we were ecstatic to help build them a new home on the web.
Our design approach centered around a philosophy we’ve increasingly embraced – while the use of high-quality photography can add appeal to most any website, for a small business it can really make the site. Smart, though-out use of these assets form the right customer perception and work to establish the brand. It shows off the products in a manner that doesn’t detract from the other content. Beginning with this approach, CommonGround took a project with a relatively small budget and tight deadline and demonstrated how today’s flexible, cost-effective websites can benefit growing companies.
Of course, the overuse of visuals can harm a site more than help, and while our team made sure the final site packed a punch graphically, they also remained mindful that minimalism often works. We allow Searock + Stafford’s work to speak for itself, using only very basic textures and accents aside from the project photography. The final result is a user experience that draws the eye to the company’s work, and shows off how truly beautiful these buildings are.
The finished website is modern, visually appealing and effective. And it speaks to the power of technology – fifteen years ago a company would have spent tens of thousands on a site like this. Today, small and growing companies can take advantage of cost-effective websites, using them as the centerpiece to their brand communications. CommonGround Creative is dedicated to helping companies like Searock + Stafford use modern technology tool in order to grow and thrive.
